Battlecards
Competitive battlecards are short comparisons of your product and a competitor’s product. Reps read one before or during a call when a prospect mentions that competitor. I write your main differentiators, a feature comparison table, and answers to common objections on each card.
Competitor details come from public sources, such as the competitor’s website, datasheets, and published pricing. Proof points come from your published case studies, and I write separate talking points for engineers and procurement managers. Battlecards stay internal, and reps don’t send them to prospects.
Sell Sheets
Sell sheets are short product documents your sales reps hand to prospects or leave behind after a meeting. I write the copy for both sides, including the headline, product overview, key specs, and contact details. Reps use them at trade shows, on sales calls, and as email attachments.
Your datasheet holds the full specs, so I limit the sell sheet to the details a buyer needs before requesting a quote. Product line sell sheets cover several related products, and I write separate versions for engineers and purchasing managers. Each sheet is written to end with one next step for the buyer, such as calling a rep.
Sales Email Templates
Template sets include cold and follow-up emails your reps personalize before sending. I write each template around one reason to reply, such as a new product, a spec question, or a trade show meeting. The prospect’s name, company, and application go in bracketed fields for each rep to fill in.
Reps send cold emails to buyers who haven’t contacted your company yet, and follow-up emails after a quote, a call, or a trade show conversation. Every template includes a subject line written around the same reason to reply as the email body. I keep each email short enough to read on a phone and end it with a question for the buyer.
Sales Decks
Deck projects cover the slide copy for a sales presentation and cost $2,000 to $3,500. Design isn’t included, so your designer or marketing team builds the slides from my copy. Each slide gets a headline and short supporting text.
The slide order runs from your company overview to capabilities, proof from past projects, and next steps. Results on those proof slides come from your published case studies. I close the deck with one request for the prospect, such as a plant tour or a sample order.
